Hey Everybody!  I am searching for suggestions...  I am having a hard time finding vendors for our hospital to have some pop-up sales.   So many that we used in the past have retired or Covid really hurt their business and they do not do them anymore.  We still use Collective Goods and (thanks to Alice's suggestion on one of the virtual lunch meetings) we will have Southern Clothing and More coming in February.  Does anybody have any vendors that they would recommend for this?  Our employees really liked the uniform,  shoes, and sheet sales.  I think a bag/purse/wallet sale might go well also.  Please let me know any ideas or recommendations.  Thanks so much, in advance!

If you have volunteers who operate a hospital shuttle or golf cart, are these volunteers allowed to operate these vehicles after a certain age?  Our hospital risk management does not have an age limit.  Thank you!

What is your process for volunteers for employee health requirements?

Do you require volunteers to have both TB screening and immunization records? 

Does EOH handle this process completely or do you handle?  

Where are the records kept that you do require?

We have our policy due and also need to standardize for all of our facilities.

The Volunteer Development Specialist provides support to the WakeMed Volunteer Services management team through interviewing volunteer candidates, effectively screening applicants, ensuring volunteers are placed appropriately, and assisting with recruitment and improvement initiatives. This position assists the Volunteer Services Manager with the development of placement descriptions, associated standards and competencies; assists in the annual review of all placement descriptions to ensure that they are current and reflect expected responsibilities. Partners with the Representative to ensure initial requirements are met prior to the volunteer's start date. Maintains and tracks volunteer compliance information including health screenings, orientation, Hospitality Pets Program, and other hospital mandatory requirements. Services as a liaison for the volunteer board committees and provides administrative support and attend board and committee meetings. Assists with the coordination of volunteers fundraising sales and prepares sales closeout reports. Supports the Manager of Volunteer Services with community outreach program initiatives to include in-kind donations, Annual Toy Drive, community speaking events, special requests and community partner referral volunteer program

Greetings all, 

I am reaching out to any and all who facilitate the management of their hospital's gift shop(s). I would love some guidance surrounding floral vendors. It is time to renew our contract; however, we have been experiencing the following issues: Untimely deliveries, decline in floral arrangement quality and selection, pricing inconsistencies, prioritization issues, billing inconsistencies, etc. Please share any contract and process flow guidance you have in place that is working well for you.
