Hi Judy-

Sounds as if you have been through a horrible experience- but so glad to hear you are on the mend!

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington has brought back "existing" volunteers in 4 phases, with the first phase last October and the final phase this month. All were required to attend a reorientation which included updated infection control information. Approximately 300 have returned.

In August, we will begin accepting new applications for adults. Our Junior Program is on hold until Summer 2022.

Please let me know if I can be of any help as you get back to work.

Oh Judy, I am so sorry you have gone through this. How horrible. A sore throat is so easy to ignore. Thank you for the warning.

UNC REX has finally gotten permission to bring all the volunteers back. Only 150 have said they wanted to return at this time. Most are waiting until the fall to return. Our Infection Control Director is requiring all volunteers meet with him mostly by Webex to return. I hope this will no longer be required in a couple of months.

Do we have any information from our Virtual Conference that I could get? I paid my fee in hopes there would be literature.

Will we have a face to face conference in 2022? I need to add it into my budget which is due July 9th .

Of your pre-Covid number of volunteers, what percentage plans to return/ have returned?

Have volunteers returned to their previous duties, if not which duties are they not allowed to do at this time?

What new duties/ if any have you added to the volunteer's daily routine?

Did you re-orient volunteers with new Covid guidelines, if possible could you share?
